- Summer Orientation is Monday, May 21st. We will meet at 6:00pm in Room 217. Thank you for entrusting us to enrich your child's summer again this year.
- Holiday Camp will be offered June 6th and 7th. The deadline to enroll is Wednesday, May 23rd. I will be sending an email to those families who have signed up to remind you of your enrollment. The theme will be: Outdoor Summer Safety.
- May Chapel date is Thursday, May 17th at 4:45 pm in the basement. Our theme is: Big and Small God Made Them All. Our Bible words are: Psalm 145: 9 & 10 "God is good to everyone...all creatures clap for Him."
- This month we are continuing our donations for the Weekday Ministries Outreach by collecting "5 lb. bags of flour or sugar" for Woodland Lakes Christian Camp. I spent many summers there as a school-age girl.
- Star Glazers Pottery Class for those already enrolled is May 3rd.
- We will celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week May 7th - May 11th. Please encourage your child's teacher with a kind word of thanks for their devotion to their students this year.
- LYD continues every Wednesday after school until May 30th.
- CLOSED: The Landing will be closed Monday,May 28th to observe Memorial Day.
- June 11th through August 17th is"The Great Race- Summer Olympics 2012". We will train like athletes to Get Fit! Stay Focused! and Finish Strong! Our examples from the Bible will include: Jesus,Samson,Solomon, and Samuel. We have 10 weeks of action packed lessons,recreation,field trips,chapel and pool time. There are 10 grade level elective classes available for as low as $50. We will also have a "Get the Scoop" Reading Program,so kids can "dip into a good book." Finally, every Friday afternoon,the science lab will be open for enrichment with Miss Becky.
- VBS is July 23rd - July 27th this year. If you are attending summer camp you must register on line now.
- M.A.D. Camp is an optional camp open to the community. The dates are June 18th - 22nd. Registration and fees are collected on line.
- Parents, Thank you for your support and encouragement you have given The Landing staff and myself this school year. I have enjoyed the days I've spent with your children. We wish you a summer filled with health and happiness.
