"Director's Blah Blah Blog"
Fall is so close. We see it and feel it in our bones, but it hasn't quite shown its true colors. Those long yellow rectangle boxes on wheels are our first sign that we need to consider looking for a new wardrobe.
The school year is off to a great start. The kids are starting to settle in and becoming very comfortable here. I know it can be a hassle for you as a parent when you have to coax your child to leave in the evenings, but it's music to my ears. I am thrilled your children love it here that much. There are always exciting activities happening in your child's room, so make sure you notice the classroom calendar and any additional signs posted. We are currently updating our files and as you have seen many times, asking for any updates or additions to the medical conditions of your child. It is imperative we have all the medical information regarding your child for any emergency scenarios that may occur.
The weather has been cooperating for some great outside playtime. Please, make sure you let a teacher know when you take your children off the playground. We make every effort to know when the children are coming and going. You will see some changes in our procedures within the next few weeks. Our main concern is always safety.
Program Events
- Landing Chapel is the fourth Thursday of every month at 4:45 in the basement। Please join us for a great time of worship. We sing, learn a new Bible verse, maybe play a game or just sit back and watch a small skit. Whatever the activity, we have a great time and would love to see you there!
- Holiday Camps - Our first opportunity for a holiday camp is Friday, November 16। This is a teacher in-service day. Remember to check your calendars for any future camps that you may need. In addition, make sure when you sign up for a camp you are confident your child will attend. If your child's name is not removed from the camp sign up before the cut off date, you will be charged for the camp ($35). This information is outside the front office.
- Way to go 3rd Grade!!! - Our third graders put their heads together and had a brilliant idea। "Let's have a bake sale to raise money to help someone." Well that's just what they did. They raised $71 for the Christian Children's Fund. The boys and girls decided to sponsor a boy from Brazil. Check out the information posted outside their classroom.
